This picture shows
Normal Doppler Spectrum / wave form of
ductus venosus.
Ductus venosus is a small conduit which
carries oxygenated blood from umbilical
vein to the right atrium. This
oxygenated blood passes directly from
right atrium to left atrium through
foramen ovale. Blood flow in ductus
venosus is characterized by high
velocity during ventricular systole (S
wave) and diastole (d wave) and be the
presence of forward flow during atrial
contraction (a wave)
